Tomorrow is May Day.
Right now, some people are already on their way home, some are packing their bags, and some are finishing up their last tasks before the holiday.
In a few hours, the cities, the highways, the construction sites – all will take a brief pause.
But there is one group that won't be taking a break.
They Don't Have a Holiday Schedule – Only a Mission
Those of us in the traffic safety industry know: when holidays come, we can't really "relax."
Not because our employees have to work overtime – of course they need a rest.
But because the LED warning lights, traffic cones, warning posts, barriers, speed humps, wheel stoppers, corner protectors, plastic chains, cable protectors – they have no holiday schedule. Only a mission.
- LED warning light won't "slack off" just because May Day traffic is heavy. Its amber light still flashes through the night.
- Traffic cone won't "lie down" just because the workers have gone home. It still stands at the front of the work zone, marking the safe boundary.
- Speed hump won't take a holiday. It's still at the school entrance, at the community driveway, gently telling every vehicle: "Slow down."
- Wheel stopper won't move just because the parking lot is half empty. It still waits at that exact position for the next car to stop securely.
- Traffic barrier won't relax just because traffic is lighter. On sharp curves, steep slopes, roads near water – it's ready to absorb an impact and prevent a disaster.
- Cable protector won't pack up just because the event is over. It still protects the cables underneath and the people walking above them.
That's the essence of traffic safety equipment: You don't need to remember them. But they never leave.
Who "Rests" and Who "Works" During May Day?
Role | May Day Status |
Drivers | Resting or traveling |
Construction workers | Mostly resting |
Traffic police | Rotating shifts |
Hengxing factory | Closed for 5 days |
Our products | 24/7 × 5 days × year-round |
This isn't meant to be a sentimental piece. It's just a fact.
We don't make fast-moving consumer goods.
We don't make holiday gift boxes. We make passive guardians – no one applauds them, no one takes photos of them, most people don't even give them a second glance.
But when a car approaches a work zone at night, when a pedestrian walks across a cable-protected area on a rainy day – they have fulfilled their mission.
Holiday Schedule: People Rest, Service Continues
In observance of the statutory public holiday, Hengxing Traffic Safety Manufacturer Co., Ltd. will be closed from May 1 to May 5, 2026 (5 days). Normal operations will resume on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
During the holiday:
- Production and shipping are suspended.
- The sales team will not be in the office, but emails and messages will be responded to promptly upon our return.
- For urgent matters, please contact your dedicated sales representative (all contact methods remain active).
On the Subject of "Rest"
To be honest, Hengxing employees need rest too.
We won't "urge overtime" during May Day, nor will we use the rhetoric of "strivers" to push our team beyond their limits.
Because we believe: Only well-rested people can produce products that allow users to rest with confidence.
Our products are the same. They don't need to be celebrated. They just need to be made right – the right materials, the right craftsmanship, thorough testing. Leave the rest to time and to the roads.
A Friendly Reminder
If you're traveling during May Day:
- Watch for flashing warning lights on the roadside at night – they're not "decorations."
- When passing through work zones, follow the guidance of the traffic cones – don't cut through.
- When parking, feel the gentle reminder from the wheel stoppers – come to a complete stop before turning off the engine.
- If you see damaged traffic safety equipment, report it to the relevant authorities if you can – they are "workers" too, and they also need to be seen.
